Movementality Rob Carruthers Ash Berry

How It all started…

Movementality is the brainchild of co-founders Ash and Rob. They first met in London and began quickly sharing clients, seeing how much the other had to offer. The results were powerful and this sparked a vision of creating a space in which they could educate people about their bodies as a way of helping them move better. They saw a direct relationship between how much people knew and the ownership they took over their own bodies. Knowledge is power.

The name Movementality was thought up in 2016 while travelling through Thailand in the back of a tuk tuk; however, it wasn’t until a year later that it came to fruition. In 2017, they jumped at an opportunity to take over Balance & Control Pilates in Richmond, a studio originally established by Bruce Hildebrand and Megan Steers in 2004, and from there, Movementality was born.

After 7 successful years of operating in Melbourne, building a stellar reputation with clients and industry peers alike, Ash & Rob made the challenging decision to close the studio and move to Perth. They continue to maintain a select number of online and in-person sessions, while also facilitation nationwide workshops for the Pilates industry.

“Movementality is a top-notch Pilates studio. Ash and Rob have created a warm, inclusive space, and the quality of training is superb. Their knowledge is second-to-none, and regardless of your fitness or experience level, they will guide you to swift and clear improvement in strength, alignment and conditioning. I honestly can't speak highly enough of Movementality, do yourself a favour and check them out.”
