Yellow Spiky Ball

$16.00

These Yellow Spiky balls are smaller than the blue balls, and specifically effective for shoulders and back massage. They have a small amount of ‘give’, ideal for those who need a forgiving ball to start massage work with. Although used for most areas of the body, we actively recommend you avoid standing on them as they are more fragile than the blue balls and tend to lose spikes or even pop when stood on repetitively.

One way to use these balls is to lay on your back with the balls between your shoulder blades and spine, and a small pillow to support your head. Reach your arms directly towards the ceiling and gradually round the shoulders forward to the ceiling, and back towards the ground. Repeat a few times as you move the balls to different areas around your shoulder blades. If it’s feeling good, the arms can also move in all directions too, exploring your range to maximise different pressure points. This can be fantastic for releasing tension around the neck and shoulders if you’ve had a long day at the desk.

Movementality acknowledges the Whadjuk people of the Nyoongar Nation as the traditional custodians of the land on which we live, work and move. Movement and dance has been part of Aboriginal culture since the beginning and we pay hominage to this rich history when we ourselves move. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging and acknowledge that the land we move on was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
